Matthew. One phone, a day job, a daily show about losing 100 lb. 78 down so far. This is the editing skill it ran on. You drop in the take you already shot, paste one line, and Claude cuts it, captions it, mixes the music under your voice, and checks its own work before you see it.
These are real episodes from my channel. This skill cut every one of them. I did no editing.
You record and you give notes. Claude does the rest, in this order, every time.
Every word you said, with a start and an end time. That's what makes a clean cut possible.
in this skillReads the transcript, plans the story with you, cuts the stumbles and the repeats, keeps the beats you protect.
in this skillWord-timed captions that sit on your mouth, inside each platform's safe zone.
in this skillPuts your music under your voice at a measured level. You bring the tracks.
in this skillSix scripts run on every render: loudness, dead air, audio drift, a line playing twice, captions off your mouth, a black first frame. This is the job a one-person show never does.
in this skillTitles, pills, cards and punch-ins.
Weekly Production Kit, sold separatelyTitle, caption and description per platform, and a weekly read on what worked.
Social Media Director, sold separatelyNot included. It marks where b-roll goes. You drop it in.
not in any version yetDay 16 of the show. An 8-minute walk-and-talk on my phone went in. The 22-second Short that got posted came out. This is the actual transcript and the actual cuts.
Raw. Phone, one take, the stumbles left in. Five cuts came out of it. Each one lands a quarter second after the last word ends, so nothing gets clipped. You tell it which lines it must never cut.
Finished. Captioned, music under the voice, cover on the first frame, checked. This is the exact skill you get, not a lighter version. Every one of those checks exists because that mistake made it into one of my episodes once.
Mac is tested. Windows is included and less tested. 8 GB of RAM. A 60-second Short renders in about 3 to 10 minutes on my Mac mini; your machine will differ.
A freelance editor charges per video: somewhere between $25 and $200 for one 60-second Short, going by publicly listed rates on Upwork, Fiverr and editing agencies in 2026. That's an estimate, not a quote. The skill costs me nothing to send you, so I charge once. The version you buy stays yours. New versions are a separate one-time add-on, so the $7 never turns into a subscription.
If it isn't useful, email me inside 30 days and I refund it. No form.
"I built this because I had a job, a show to post every day, no editor, and no hours to be one. It isn't magic. It's the editor I'd have hired, written down, with the mistakes it already made so you don't."
Matthew, The 100lb Year. 341 lb on March 19, 2026. 262 lb this week: 78 lb down in seven months, every day of it on camera.Yes. It runs in your own Claude Pro or Max, in Claude Code or the desktop app. Claude isn't included and I'm not affiliated with Anthropic.
One person talking to one camera. It isn't built for multi-camera shoots or screen-recording tutorials, and it won't go find b-roll for you.
No. You paste one line and answer questions. If something is missing on your computer, Claude installs it with you.
The Talking-Head Editing skill (v3.0), six check scripts, the installer for Mac and Windows, the 90-second install video, and the Motion and Style Prompt Guide (40 prompts).
Ask Claude cold and you get a different edit every time, and nothing checks it. The skill is the editor's rulebook plus six scripts that measure the render. The rules came from 64 days of real mistakes. That's what you're paying for, and it's what Claude on its own doesn't have.
No. The first run is a short interview about your style. It edits your way, and every note you give it becomes a rule.
About 3 to 10 minutes for a 60-second Short on my Mac mini. Your computer will be faster or slower. The first run takes longer while Claude installs the transcriber.
No. It's the exact skill that cuts my daily show. I don't keep a better one.
